If you want to do cutting exercises (tameshigiri), than these mats are what you need. We have high quality tameshigiri mats, usable for cutting exercices. Unlike beach mats that are often offered, these rice straw mats are actually meant for tameshigiri and don’t harm your sword.  The mat has a dimension of 180*90 cm.

This mat comes single packed in a foil together with a pad of silicon so that the mat wont catch any water during transport or storage. The end of the mat is tied together by some wire which you have to cut of before starting to cut with your blade.

Tip: One tatami omote weighs about 1 kilogram when it is shipped. Please check for the shipping price to your country. The shipping for 15 euro anywhere in Europe does not apply for these tameshigiri mats. Pick up is also possible! If you use these mats often, please let us know. We adapt our stock at your request.
